Wayne Curry for County Executive 1994
In 1994, I served as a senior advisor to Wayne K. Curry during his groundbreaking campaign to become the first African American elected as County Executive of Prince George's County, Maryland. My role involved providing strategic counsel on campaign messaging, community outreach, and organizational structure. Our collaborative efforts contributed to a successful campaign that marked a significant milestone in the county's history. Wayne Curry's tenure as County Executive, from December 1994 to December 2002, was characterized by transformative leadership that elevated Prince George's County's profile and prosperity. His administration focused on economic development, education, and infrastructure improvements, reflecting a commitment to inclusive growth and community empowerment.
