US Justice Department 1978-1979

1978 to 1979 was a pivotal experience in my career. As the Associate Deputy Attorney General, I was part of a team that included Peter Flaherty, the former Mayor of Pittsburgh and Deputy Attorney General. Together with my colleagues, we tackled a range of critical issues facing the nation during that time.

One of my significant responsibilities was serving as the Assistant Chair of the Interagency Working Group on Terrorism. This role involved coordinating efforts across various government agencies to address emerging threats and develop policies to enhance national security.

It was a time of intense focus on legal and policy matters, working to uphold justice and protect the interests of the American people under the leadership of President Carter. These experiences shaped my understanding of governance, law enforcement, and the complexities of national security during a critical period in our nation's history.
