Milton Allen for State's Attorney 1970
In 1970, I served as the campaign manager for Milton B. Allen's historic run for State's Attorney of Baltimore City. This campaign was groundbreaking, as Allen became the first African American elected as a prosecutor in Maryland. My role involved coordinating campaign strategy, community outreach, and voter mobilization efforts across the city. We focused on building a broad coalition of supporters and communicating a message of justice and reform. The success of this campaign not only marked a significant milestone in Maryland's legal and political history but also paved the way for greater representation of African Americans in the state's judicial system.
