Univ. of Mississippi

In the summer of 1975, I had the opportunity to teach at the University of Mississippi School of Law in Oxford. Becoming the first Black law professor in the school’s history. Despite the pervasive Jim Crow racism at the time, I enjoyed my experience and spent most of my time on campus. It was a memorable period, as I was with my wife, Diana, and our son, Steven, who was six months old, adding a personal joy to that summer.
