Kurt Schmoke for Mayor 1987, 1991, 1995
In 1987, I served as the campaign manager for Kurt Schmoke's historic bid to become the first elected Black mayor of Baltimore City. Drawing on my experience in political strategy and community organizing, I led a grassroots campaign that emphasized voter engagement and coalition-building across the city. Our efforts focused on mobilizing volunteers, crafting compelling messaging, and executing a comprehensive outreach strategy that resonated with Baltimore's diverse electorate. The success of this campaign not only marked a significant milestone in the city's history but also set the stage for progressive leadership that addressed critical issues facing Baltimore. I continued to manage Mayor Schmoke's successful re-election campaigns in 1991 and 1995, further contributing to the city's ongoing development and reform initiatives
