North Carolina Central

During my time at North Carolina Central University, I primarily focused on working on my upcoming book, "Thurgood Marshall's Orchestra." For a year, I traveled to Raleigh-Durham every weekend and returned to teach at the University of Maryland during the week. The crew at Raleigh-Durham Airport knew me very well due to my frequent travels. I did this for two 15-week semesters, at the request of the dean.

The three universities UNC, NC Central, and Duke shared library resources, which made it easy to check out books between the institutions through their excellent inter-library loan system. These resources were invaluable, and I spent a great deal of time utilizing them. During this period, I learned a great deal about Thurgood Marshall, which significantly contributed to my research and writing.
